| Match report |
| The match was very good on both sides hard fought by both teams. In the first half both teams had chances at goal, with the Purton defence soaking up all of the Wootton Bassett pressure.
Just into the second half Reece was brought on for an injured Russell. Half way through the half Bassett took the lead. Purton equalized within a few minutes, Callum netting the ball from a Eddie corner. From then on it was end to end stuff with Bassett scoring a second goal, Shortly after this Peter Ellis was subbed for Russell with Reece taking up a forward position, Gavin had a very good game but was beaten for the third goal by a powerful low drive to the bottom left hand corner. The lads played an excellent game of football. The man of the match award went to Gavin who had a very safe pair of hands throughout the game. |
